An incomplete and tentative list of goals for Demo4 (next release):
+ side specific textures - You will be able to define specific materials to the sides of any voxel, ex. grass blocks will use the dirt texture on the bottom and grass texture on top + more material parameters - can now set most of the material parameters that Unity3D for your materials + material plugin type - (Unity) materials are now defined separately from (Moxrealm) Terrain Materials * terrain saving fix - fix terrain saving issue that causes regions to save incorrectly * optimize chunk rendering - code optimizations, may also reduce chunksize from 8 to either 4 or 6 to reduce stuttering on terrain updates + HUD and UI system - ability to add (via plugin) a HUD element or in game menu with controls and plugin code support + package based mods - can refer to other authors' works by using a new naming system (author.package.plugin_name) and can now have formal dependencies
Like I said on the blog, Demo4 is a free release but likely the last one. After Demo4, Moxrealm will move to Pre-Alpha development and require a premium account to download and play.
I also may move to a weekly release schedule for updates soon.
